Autoclave film and swab containment bags are used during an operation procedure
because of the importance of accounting for every cotton wool swab and the assurance that none are left in the patient after the procedure is completed.
A number of cotton wool swabs are placed in Medical Swab Bags then a number of these bags are placed in a large medical pack bag. This medical pack bag containing the exact number of cotton swabs is then sterilised before it is used during the operation.
Once all the medical swab bags re filled and placed back in the medical pack bag, it can be weighed to measure the amount of blood loss during the operation.
